a simple and familiar iOS 14 theme...

(for non-jailbroken devices)

For the last 2 years, I have been building this theme to feel familiar while also communicating a soft and coherent design language for your icons that third party developers, and even Apple, fail to provide.

Give your iPhone a subtly different and beautifully soft aesthetic. You’ll immediately know which icons are which, since each icon was crafted to resemble the colors and imagery of the original. Subtle differences in lines, vertices, and colors give each icon a soft feel. Stemming from the insect order Phasmida [1], I chose the name mida, with a lower-case m, because the theme was designed to ‘blend in’ in a unique way.

I have been developing “mida” for jailbroken devices since 2018 (see [2] below to learn about “jailbreaking”), but with Shortcuts on iOS 13 and 14, now everyone can theme their icons!

mida is already two years old, but does not come with thousands of icons like some other themes you might find… That is because over the past couple years, I have been carefully and meticulously been perfecting each point, line, curve, radius, and color on every icon to look good and match mida’s design goals. In the package, you will find more than 500 carefully crafted app icons, and 100+ alternate icons for a slightly different look!

To use mida mida icons on iOS 13 or iOS 14, you can use the shortcuts method (see [3] below) or apps that automate the process like “Iconboard” on the App Store (see [4] below)!

All icons, shapes, and gradients were crafted by hand with ❤️ in Sketch App. Copyright 2020 Trent Kelsall.
